New!!!! Starting in 2007 we incorporated Computer Class, Sign Language Class and Yoga Class in our weekly curriculum for Toddlers and older! And the best is that these classes are included in our weekly tuition.
Infants
Our Infant Program will give your child the kind of individualized care and attention that creates a foundation for brain development. In the early years this development is quite dramatic and can establish patterns for life-long learning.
Toddlers Our program continues the educational and emotional environment created in the infant room. Active Learning for Ones provides hands-on activities that allow children to explore, inquire and discover solutions by themselves.
Preschool Our curriculum for Preschoolers includes activities for individual as well as children in small and large groups. We have a weekly lesson plan posted in the room, inviting the parents to participate with their comments. Each week children will explore a theme through group time introductions and reviews, daily enrichments, and additions to each learning center. We use the DLM curriculum which contains aappropriate activities according the child's age.
After School Our After school teachers prepare a lot of activities involving arts and crafts, computer and learning activities for ages between 5 and 12 years. We have a Monthly Calendar that shows daily activities. Our environment offers additional learning time, supervised homework and activities, fun field trips and a specially safe environment.
After preliminary planning, it is time to choose (or to help the children and/or parents choose) themes, projects and activities to build the total curriculum. Themes are selected that relate closely to the child's immediate world. For example, activities associated with home, family, yards and neighborhoods hold the most meaning for the youngest children. As children develop, their knowledge base and interests expand. In this same way, new or additional information can be added to the curriculum
In summary , quality learning experiences for children are enhanced by a well-planned curriculum.
Our curriculum consists of the following items: 1.- Activities, projects and themes that are appropriate for the age and development of the children in the program. 2.- To appreciate and acknowledge the family differences and cultural heritage of each child. 3.- We never discourage one gender or age from a particular theme area or activity. 4.- We promote activities that encourage the development of the whole child, including physical, mental, emotional and social aspects.
5.- And finally we take joy in observing each child's learning experiences and progress. |
